Pray for Our Ministry
August 10-16
Pray for the Wirth family (who previously owned our property) as they come up to
Whispering Pines for their annual family reunion. Pray for their safety and
relationships as a large, close-knit family.
Pray for our Staff at Whispering Pines as they transition from serving and
working during six weeks of our Summer Camps to hosting and serving outside
groups during the rest of the year.
Ask God to orchestrate greater exposure and more bookings for Whispering Pines.
August 17-23
Pray for our Executive Director as he leads, casts vision, and develops the
ministry alongside his teammates. Pray for God’s blessing on his speaking,
networking, and fundraising opportunities.
Pray for God’s blessing on our Annual Fundraising Dinner, scheduled for
Thursday, November 6.
Ask God to
prompt new and longtime friends of the ministry to pray and give regularly.
August 24-30
Ask God to
superintend the amendment of our Master Plan and application for County permits.
Ask God to provide $9,400 for the exterior painting of our Whispering Pines
facility by September.
Pray for our Board of Directors, working Committees, and Staff as we make
decisions concerning future ministry opportunities in the Modesto area and up at
Whispering Pines.
Pray for God's blessing on our “camp missionaries” as they return to school and
work.
August 31-September 6
Pray for the volunteers who’re driving up to Whispering Pines this week to clean
and help get our facility ready for the outside groups that’ll be hosted by our
Staff over the next four months.
Ask God to provide a part-time Maintenance man to work alongside Brian at
Whispering Pines.
Pray for wisdom and open doors as we continue to work with the Tuolumne County
Planning Department and get ready to design, develop and build on our Whispering
Pines property.
Sept 7-13
Pray for God’s blessing on our Staff and volunteers as we tackle new ministry
opportunities.
Pray for spiritual growth in the lives of 136 people who made decisions at our
Summer Camps.
Thank God for his hand of blessing and protection on our Staff and Summer Camps
as we hosted and ministered to 290 people with special needs this summer.
Sept 14-20
Ask God to
strengthen and encourage our Camp counselors as they’ve returned to work and
school.
Ask God to anoint and bless our generous donors and prayer warriors for their
faithful ministry.
Ask God to prompt longtime and new friends of the ministry to pray, give, and
serve regularly.
Sept 21-27
Pray for the women of Prescott Evangelical Free Church as they prepare for their
weekend retreat.
Pray for the Staff of Whispering Pines as they serve many guests during our 2008
and 2009 seasons.
Ask God to bless our Pasta Dinner on Saturday as guests enjoy zesty Italian food
and contribute to our ministry.
Sept 28–October 4
Pray for newlyweds Dave and Kerry Shackelford as they’ve returned from their
honeymoon and started a new chapter of life together. Ask God to bless their
marriage, children, and ministry.
Ask God to strengthen marriages and families everywhere as they experiences joys
and challenges.
Pray that our entire Staff will become more and more like Jesus. Pray that
we’ll care more, pray hard, trust fully, and serve well as Dave challenged us
from the Word in June.
October 5-11
Ask God to direct and bless our planning times, site plans, permit applications,
and fundraising as we seek to expand our ministry and develop our property at
Whispering Pines.
Thank God for how he faithfully and unexpectedly provides for our needs as a
non-profit ministry.
Pray for our Director Brian Robison, his wife Laura, and their daughter April as
they’re working full bore alongside their Staff, serving guests at fall and
winter events up at our Whispering Pines Conference and Retreat Center in Mi Wuk
Village.
October 12-18
Pray for our Executive Director Dave Shackelford as he leads, casts vision, and
develops the ministry alongside his teammates. Pray for God’s blessing on his
speaking, networking, writing, and fundraising opportunities.
Pray for Dave and the team as they make the final preparations for our Annual
Fundraising Dinner.
Thank God for how he has guided, developed, and anointed our ministry to people
for years.
October 19-25
Pray for our Program Director Brice Ringsby and his wife Sandy as they prepare
for our weekend retreats and 2009 Summer Camps.
Pray for the men of Calvary Reform Church (Ripon) as they’ve returned home after
their retreat.
Ask God to heal and bless Hickman Community Church after losing their senior
pastor and going through several difficult years. Pray for the women of that
congregation who recently participated in a retreat at The Pines.
October 26-November 1
Pray for God’s blessing on our Annual Fundraising Dinner, scheduled for
Thursday, November 6.
Pray for our
Board of Directors, working Committees, and Staff as we make decisions
concerning future ministry opportunities in the Modesto area and up at
Whispering Pines.
Thank
God for the different ways he faithfully and unexpectedly provides for all of
our needs.
Now to him
who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his
power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ
Jesus ... forever. - Ephesians 3:20-21
