Summer Camps for the Disabled

We offer unique, creatively crafted weeklong Summer Camps, designed to meet the special needs of persons with disabilities.  We also offer Retreats  tailored for our disabled guests on several weekends throughout the year.

Camp Activities

Dedicated to providing the best possible camping experience for our guests, we help them discover and enjoy new things within the scope of their abilities and interests.

We provide opportunities that promote physical wellness and social interaction and build new friendships at the same time.  We enhance the quality of life for our guests by enabling them to experience outdoor activities.  We also provide a safe haven for them to explore and experience the wonders of nature.

Camp activities include:  archery, croquette, table tennis, basketball, horseshoes, boating, fishing, hiking, special Olympic-style games, bocce ball, foosball, softball, volleyball, shuffle board, barbecues, water sports and crafts.

Special Events

Every camp session includes adaptive fun activities focusing on the individual's unique abilities and skill sets.  Taking nature hikes along forest trails, enjoying picnics, roasting marshmallows and singing around the campfire are longstanding favorites!

Other special events may include:  puppet shows, interactive role plays acting out Bible stories, guest speakers, Smokey the Bear, forest rangers, Pinecrest Lake Day, pontoon boat rides, photos sitting on big choppers belonging to Christian Motorcycle Club members and a four-wheel drive jeep trip.

Travel Camps

We host off-site day trips for select groups of men and women during separate weeks.  These guests sleep outside in large teepees.  They wake up and start their day with a hearty breakfast, followed by a ride in our van to that day's outing.  They come back, rejoin the group, eat dinner and enjoy the evening activities together.

Our camps feature exciting venues such as:  Yosemite Park, Historic Columbia Park, Calaveras Big Trees, Trout Farm, California Caverns and Jamestown Train Ride.
