Group Retreat Information

We would love to help you put together a retreat that is enjoyable, safe and enriches your spiritual life. At Christian Berets, we believe that every group is unique and with that comes our responsibility to provide a custom stay with your group's needs in mind. A custom retreat allows you to design the schedule, activities, and sessions to meet the goals for your group and your ministry. 


Our hope is that you will consider giving us the honor of collaborating with you for your next custom retreat. If you are ready to do that, just follow a few steps.


  1. Call 209-524-7993 for pricing, group options, and available dates.​
  2. Share what type of retreat you would like to have, including dates preferred (we recommend having three options), and the estimated number of those in attendance.
  3. After a date, price, and numbers are agreed upon, a contract with all the details will be sent to you.
  4. Once we receive your signed contract, certificate of insurance and your deposit, your dates are reserved. The balance of your contract is due upon arrival for the retreat.
  5. A few weeks before your retreat, we will contact you to confirm numbers and work through your desired schedule and activities.

Accommodations

Our 6,000 sq. ft facility has two comfortable adjoining lodges (total sleeping capacity for 90 guests). Every room is carpeted and dorm-style with twin-size bunk beds and a full-service restroom. (We have two rooms with double-size beds in them) Every room has electrical outlets, central heating, and air conditioning, and is completely ADA certified and wheelchair-accessible.


The main lobby has a wood burning stove, lounge area, ping pong, and foosball tables. There is an outdoor amphitheater, 9-hole miniature golf course, walking trails, fire pit, archery area, back patio with shuffle board, volleyball net, frisbee golf, tree swings and a huge recreation field for your enjoyment.

The Facility

The Christian Berets' facility includes two lodges with sleeping capacity for 90 guests, an adjoining fireside lounge, large meeting room, and commercial kitchen. There is also an outdoor amphitheater and an ADA compliant wheelchair- accessible miniature golf course.

The entire facility is ADA certified. All of the rooms are carpeted and outfitted with bunk beds, sinks, toilets, and wheelchair-accessible showers. It affords some "city comforts" in a rustic mountain setting.

Things to do...


​Come enjoy our new Putt-Putt golf course, horseshoes, hiking, ping-pong, youth archery, football, soccer, frisbee golf and volleyball. Fishing and boating are available at nearby Pinecrest Lake (or at other lakes and rivers close by). We also have a very user-friendly outdoor amphitheater (complete with electrical hookups if so desired).


In the winter, you can enjoy lots of fun in the snow while staying at the Christian Berets Center. Tubing and sledding are easily accessible at Leeland Meadows and Strawberry. Ice skating is an option at Long Barn and skiing at Dodge Ridge. 


Visit the famous Yosemite National Park (60 minutes away) and nearby historic sites in the 49er Gold Rush towns of Sonora, Jamestown, Columbia, Murphys, Jackson, and Angels Camp.


Watch a lively musical or play at the Fallon House, Sierra Repertory Theatre, or Stage 3 Theatre.


Hit that little white ball on one of several nearby golf courses, including: Mountain Springs, Phoenix Lake, and Twain Harte.
